This easy Skillet Sausage Dip will quickly become one of your favorite go-to recipes for any event you host. Made with sausage, cheeses, and sour cream, it is absolutely delicious. My family doesn’t even need an occasion. Hey – it’s like um, Sunday – why don’t we have some of that dip? Seriously, any reason will do. Thank goodness it is so easy. Literally, one bowl and one pan. AND you serve it in that pan!!! My kind of dish. The hardest thing is trying not to eat all of it yourself. Really, it is that simple
I typically use a hot breakfast sausage, but it would be great with regular also. We just happen to like hot stuff. The first thing to do is set your cream cheese out in a large bowl to soften. Once it gets soft enough to blend, add all of your other ingredients. Save a few chives for the top if you like. Sometimes I do, and of course, lots of times I completely forget. No biggie, there are always more in the cabinet. Transfer it all to your favorite 8-inch cast iron skillet. Bake on 375 for about 25-30 minutes. It will start bubbling up and the cheese will be thoroughly melted. A casserole dish will work fine if you don’t have a skillet, just watch your baking times. Serve with your favorite chips and salsa, crackers, or toasted bread.
As this only uses 4oz of cream cheesed and 1/2 pound of sausage, I generally serve it with The Ultimate Jalapeno Poppers. These are truly the ultimate appetizer. Two apps for one – a winner in my book. Neither one makes a huge batch, so they are perfect for smaller get-togethers. Add a 1/2 batch of Cheesy Sausage Balls and you are good to go. If you are having a larger gathering, just double everything and use your favorite 10-12in cast iron skillet. Add about 10-15 minutes or so to the cooking time.
Hope you enjoy! Don’t forget to pin for later.

This can be made in a casserole dish if you don't have a cast iron skillet. You might need to adjust the cooking times a bit. It can also be doubled for larger gatherings. Use a 10-12 inch cast iron skillet and add about 10-15 minutes to the cook time.
